My son with Autism receives ABA therapy. His therapist gave him a tool to help him with self-regulating his emotions. I’m also familiar with the concept of an asthma action plan. These two concepts combined became the conceptual idea behind the plan Dream to Live.
I had been doing all of this research and immediately realized I could create something to help individuals monitor and inventory coping strategies, prevent a crisis, and recognise when a crisis exists. This was the birth of point 2- The Stoplight tool of the plan: Dream to Live.
